Also Laura, One of the reasons that I haven’t started writing on Substack yet is this idea that I don’t have anything to say that hasn’t already been said. You referenced that this morning by not wanting to be part of the noise. I’ve started to shift my attention to focussing on the benefit of reaching one person. You really reached me today and really contributed to my well-being. Thank you 🙏

Joanne, that is incredibly beautiful! One of the things that really keeps me going is messages like this— I often think “who’s even going to read this?!”, and then one person says something and it’s all worth it! It does matter so much what we say and how we connect. I can’t wait to see what you write! Sending a big hug your way.

Laura your post arrived at the perfect moment 😉

I have worked with the infinity symbol for at least 20 years without ever knowing what it even means! Imagine! I understand well, holding the tension of opposites, but I am blown away at the simplicity and the powerfulness of the practice that you presented here. Deeply grateful. ❤️🙏

Thanks for sharing Laura. It feels like we're in a state of Limbo, in-between it all. Sort of suspended in this upheaval. The fear and hate is weighs heavily in this divided nation. Difficult to be optimistic about where we are going, fearful of the ruthless patriarchal actions being imposed. Where will it end, the power and control of taking over. It feels like compassion, kindness of humanity is getting squeezed out. We are exhausted! Holding the tension of the opposites. The infinity symbol is a way of moving between the polarities with our sense of Self in the center. Returning to center, to Source and to love. Finding our diamond center that cannot be crushed despite the chaos of the swirling world around us. ❤️

Oh, Anne! I feel all of that. I was just speaking to my analyst about that feeling of powerlessness. You said it so well, compassion and kindness of humanity-- the feminine!-- being "squeezed out." I love that "diamond center," too-- a great touchstone to visualize and think about as being indestructible. Grateful for these reflections! 💕

Thank you for this! I love the idea of using it with a tension/opposites that we are sitting with in our own life.

Thank you so much, Jennifer! I've been finding it so helpful this week even as a way to visualize those very things. Really appreciate your reading and commenting. 😀

YES! It's such a simple intervention but can do so much. Love that you tried it and found a little bit more space to breathe! 💚
